off to Holland
Went to cafe to have lunch (sandwich and orange soda). Quite good. Walked for to royal palace and did the full tour: treasury, apartments, etc. It was spectacular and hadn't been recommended to me--but I'm certainly glad I did it. I stayed as long as I could before having to head to the airport. I returned to the First Hotel Riesen (where Kiely was staying [in his "Deluxe Room", by the way, which is very small -- so small you can't open the door to the bathroom all the way because it hits the bed, but ironically does boast a sauna that could probably fit six people]) and picked up my bag and walked over to Stockholm C to get the Arlanda Express back the airport. Checked in with plenty of time at the airport. Upon arrival to Schiphol, I bought a train ticket, bought internet access and got in touch with Sara. Took the train to the city, doubting the entire time I was on the right train since it looked like it was becoming more country (rather than less [we were circumnavigating the city]) and then walked over to Dam Square from central station and found Sara's place with no problem. She cooked up some delicious food for me, then we made our way over to a local pub for a brew, before going back to hit the hay.
